Apple started it all (useless and ugly notch) and everybody followed. Now apple was left behind... Apple followed others now with punchole camera. Others have type C charging port and apple again was left behind...soon apple will follow....

Omg what an innovation! Apple is truly ahead of its time, i mean who would have guessed notches can be reduced to a single small front camera? This will sure teach Android hahaha! Just wait until they put a fingeprint scanner on their phones, i'm sure that's a very advanced tech that's hard to implement but i'm sure Apple will find a way

For me screen real estate is the amount of usable screen a user has. Phones with bezels have 100% usable screen compared to those that have the punch hole and notch. The reason I really hate punch hole and the notch is that the part they're using is still part of the screen meaning some things just pass through behind it to not be seen.
I saved up a bit of money and bought a high-end phone and found that it becomes hard to play my games on it because the punch-hole is blocking a part of the screen. Imagine not being able to see your enemy because somebody decided that putting a hole on a screen is justifiable. Even in multimedia consumption cuts it.
Isn't the same reason that people like punch-hole cameras because it looks good and serves no function whatsoever. Unless you can convince me otherwise that the punch-hole is better. Tell me the pros you think it has.

Screens used to be a square and that square became rounded meaning you lose parts of the screen at those corners in addition to the notch or punch hole taking up another part of the screen. The bezels sit on top or below the screen and don't interupt it or take away parts of it in any way. Is this really such a hard concept to understand? Did you start using phones only recently?

I think it woud be nice if Apple could do a camera setup like OnePlus Concept One’s, an invisible camera that is only visible when using the camera. This way, iphones could be totally flat and punchhole/notchfree …

Center punch hole is very eye catching, but i think hidden selfie cam could have been a better choice because iphones are hell expensive

Phones are hopelessly strarved for more screen real estate. How exactly a bigger punch hole (that goes all the way, making a bezel) solves that? Yeah, it looks more symmetrical, however there is nothing else one case say about it. I can't believe that so many people prefer looks over function...
