Sony = being late on the party, their screens still have awful viewing angles in late 2012. In 2011 every brand had a better screen than Sony's not to mention processing power, sony was stuck on single core while everyone else was on dual core, 2012 sony on dual core the rest on quad core, 2013 sony will get stuck on the APQ8064 which is an 2012 chip whil others while use new powerhouses like the upcoming exynos 5450 and Tegra 4.

They have a great strategy, and, at least for their media players, great support, software upgrades etc. That is what BRAND ought to mean, not what country it's made in.

You guys who bought an xperia s, stop complaining it wasn't a high end phone, it used CPU and gpu from early 2011, xperia T now uses same chipset as the s3 LTE, Sony is getting there, as for the Oppo brilliant hardware but from what I've seen I'm not impressed with the firmware and software, the yuga blows this apart in benchmarks, the oppo UI is not suited to the UK market, looks very chinesey

AnonD-83178, 26 Dec 2012"Coming up next, 101 reasons to wait for the Sony Yuga... morei would never buy another sony phone it all promises on updates and firmware fixes will be here soon but never come, i hade the xperia s at launch the the ics update came and the phone just refused to work properly ( see xperia s/sl forum) the the news the ics update in Q1 but only for phones launched 4 weeks ago news to follow on the rest, it turns out april is the ics update for the xperia s, and the it still might not happen as sony make excuses about hardware issues etc... lucky for me i sold mine in november. and got an iphone 4S. morel here is DON'T BUY SONY............

I would not even dream of paying that kinda price for a chinese brand phone, at $300 for the Find 5 i would still get the Yuga at $700 up. There are good reasons why chinese brand phones are cheap, but no reasons why this should cost almost the same as Samsung and Sony.
And what if this was a Sony or Samsung and not Oppo? I would still not buy it, as i heard it has no card slot.
