The shutter speed is far better with even the imx766 than the GN2. All their marketing has been about the photo taking experience including the speed of taking photos, the shutter speed and the processing speed of photos once they've been taken. They are also hyping up the new focus tracking ability. It seems similar to Huawei's 4d predictive focus. This year Xiaomi's phones are much better at taking pictures of moving subjects. Last year they were amongst the worst flagships for this even though the picture quality itself was excellent

Higher resolution would mean bigger file size, with practically almost no gain for most users. I guess 90% users would just see the images on the screen (wouldn't notice that extra resolution) or upload it in social media (would be compressed anyway)...

BigDisplay, 05 Jan 2022Agree, the rear display is very usefull for me every day 👌🏻It often happens. A phone gets too good for its era, the laymen here still think it's nothing special. The company can't top it for quite some years. We're remembering that phone for years to come (because it *was* special and fans of the time missed it).
Happened with the original iphone, iphone 4 , Nokia 808. You know, phones that had aspects of them not surpassed by competitors for years...
I was always telling that Mi11 Ultra is way too good for its era. It will prolly not be surpassed for at least 2-3 years. There was no other phone to buy in 2021, everything else will age badly.

It would be nice if Samsung produces an upgraded HMX with 27mp output, we’ve been stuck at 12mp for years, surely 12mp is not the diffraction limit.

I'm waiting impatiently for this phone, it seems to me that it will be the best in photography, so I can replace my Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
I also hope Gsmarena do a little more research because there is talk of a partnership with Leica to configure the camera, and NOT with Zeiss. Please confirm this !!

Samsung GN2 or IMX 707? I am dissatisfied with the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. They downgraded the cameras.
