AnonD-1033007, 05 Jan 2022Sorry i accidentally pressed ,,submit" what i wanted t... moreI don't really need the jack as i don't use headphones at all but it's just that there was literally 0 reasons to remove it in the first place other than money, it's a greedy decision they made to get more money. Same goes for the SD slot
And speaking of SD, for me it's a must as i have so many necessary things on mine with over 70 gb and there's no way i'm gonna put all of that on the phone's storage and risk losing it if my phone breaks. Happened before. The only things going on the phone's storage are the things i don't mind losing

We offer new 45W charging speed. We just don't give you the means to achieve that. Meanwhile 90% of users still have some 1A or 1,5A regular chargers at home that they use to charge all their USB devices...

All these fast charging capabilities are ENTIRELY worthless if device comes without said charger because for those 90% of people, a charger is a charger. It charges their phone. Eventually. They have no clue what amps are or what watts mean for that device. Even when vendors claim fast charging capability, 90% of people think they are getting it, but they don't know it because everyone charges phones over night anyways, meaning it's irrelevant in real world use except for few nerds who stroke to specs all day long every single day and know what device has fast charging and how to actually utilize it.

Arsh, 06 Jan 2022When everyone is offering 120 watts 120W is gimmick and actually throttled to 95W. Check Anandtech review of Xiaomi 11T Pro

The best thing Samsung has done is to adopt USB pd standard instead of creating a new proprietary standard so that we don't need to buy their own chargers.

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2022Samsung and Apple copied from Xperia the thing to slow down... moreEveryone copies everybody nowadays, and even Sony does it sometimes.
It is quite helpful that Samsung and Apple are incorporating such useful features from Sony so that they can be popularized and become mainstream features of essentially all phones to come.

Waiting for H.S. Power Control to become a function built into the Android OS itself.

unxpctd, 05 Jan 2022There's no reason to buy this compared to anker, ravpo... moreThose are still quite expensive for what they could offer.
Some GaN chargers from less known but very reliable brands are slightly cheaper, but has significantly higher power output while also being relatively smaller at the same time, and still not imposing any danger whatsoever.

hope the S22 (normal not Ultra) will have 45W too. if they keep 25W i simply don't buy ang go for oneplus...

[deleted post]That's funny because the 25W charger that came in the box of my sibling's South Korean S20+ actually almost caught fire because of excessive heat that it produces, while the 30W charger that came in the box of my Redmi K30 5G is perfectly functioning until now and doesn't generate as much heat as the Samsung charger whilst still charging just as fast, if not any faster.
Never thought I'd be more confident with a Chinese product not imposing any danger to me, but I just did after my experience with this 30W charger from Xiaomi.

About time, really. It's really been a while since Samsung give 45W wired charging on their flagship phones.
