Even S21 FE felt like Samsung was hesitating and in the end launched it anyway. And rightfully so on the hesitation because S21 FE is totally overpriced and entirely out of place model. It doesn't really fit anywhere and I don't understand reviewers who say it's a good phone. It's old and expensive.

Classic Samsung, crap at such high price and Still people will buy 🤑.
They know if they make it better it eats in samsung higher priced flagships and if they make it cheaper (which this device deserves to be) it will eat into their dumb series between 35-50k INR range. A device limited by its positioning. Avoid at all cost.

Then, Samsung can reduce the prices after a few months when sale started to slow down. Thanks for your contribution.

Isnt the fan edition suppose to have micro sd/headphone and all that?? I mean you can get a normal s21 for half the price.. smaller and better.

This phone is a complete nadir. The fact that they even got to this point and are releasing it with that inflated price tag shows that there needs to an overhaul. They have too many models again. Time to clean house.

Seems like Samsung leadership is taking weed these days, they launched FE so that people can afford flagship SoC in budget. Now they are making whole in our pockets, a lot better phones are available in half of this price. Moreover buying an Exynos shit doesn't make sense in India with poor performance and less battery backup. Also, no headphone jack and no place for memory cards.. poor followers of apple.

It's 2022 and the S20 FE 5G I'm typing this on still has the best chip in any UK Samsung candybar.
And I got it on a two-year carrier deal with 30GB data for less than the inferior S21 FE sells on its own.
As soon as I heard the S21 FE would be an Exynos I knew I was absolutely buying last Black Friday rather than waiting out.

This phone is just the S20 FE with new CPU because samsung wanted it to be like this. Zero do to with pandemic, mainly from a company that may have over 40 billion dollars profit in the current fiscal year.
Changing just the cpu spares samsung from wasting R&D money on phone that may not sell well because it got delayed 3 months. It was supposed to be out with Fold 3. And now S22 can be announced within 2-3 weeks.
S20 FE was announced for more than $700. Chip shortage is worse than 2020.
People expected it to be $600?
Also , sales of S series decrease year after year. Samsung is trying to recover money in every way possible.

FYI in the UK they're offering £150 off the list price for any android phone (including broken), bringing the price to a much more sensible £549 (which still feels like a lot imho).
