OG - Oguzhan, 28 Dec 2012I'm pretty sure that 5" and 1080p resolution is going ... moreNo. I'm sure we will see 2560x1440 phones in less than 1 year. At least for xxl phones in the class of galaxy note 2, and smaller phones will follow soon after. Samsung will take longer, they can't squeeze the pixel density on amoled so fast but for lcd the pixel density can still go much higher. Rapid increase in pixel density may force Samsung to use lcd in some flagship models, and that's good.

By the measure that I've made on this official picture, this phone has an height of 13.8 CM, for the weight : between 6.5 an 6.9 CM, based on the leaked photo.

This is a good looking phone! I wanna know though if ZTE will release this in the Philippines coz if it is, I guess this is much more cheap compared to the HTC Butterfly which I am planning to buy. I hope that Sony will also have a good viewing angles on their upcoming 1080p phone since the highlight is the screen aside its performance which I think HTC already proved. Darn that waist line! Its so thin! less than 7mm thin? This ZTE device will be a great buy! I wanna welcome 2013 with open arms since this is I think a good year for smartphone fans! ^^

Ive been a fan of the Galaxy range but after having S1 S2 S3 I hate the burn-in on the amoled screens, such nice screens but the burn-in is horrible, also since having the S3 the build quality is so bad, I have a strong case what covers the screen, well the whole phone and one drop on its back the screen has a long hair line scratch on it, also with loads of burn-in and bottom right there is ink like marks on the screen. Nice phone but bad build quality so if the S4 isnt up to scratch i have no choice but to move on to another brand like this beautiful zte.

I would have expected a beefy battery.... but not very good. Battery is most important.. not 1080p screens.

                                        Couple of other observations:

Looks like 2013 is going to be a pretty heated year for Android. The Chinese manufacturers are entering the market in a big way.

Besides them, Sony looks to be very serious about a flagship phone too.

5" 1080p is here, for all manufacturers - hopefully that's as big as it's going to get, also hope manufacturers remove front hardware buttons and make phones more like Google intended with Nexus.

STILL 32GB looks like it'll be the standard capacity in 2013, it should be 64GB by now. Lagging behind the iPhone.

2GB RAM is standard for 2013.

All manufacturers are using the same SoC, not sure if that's good or bad. On one hand it'll allow software to be optimised for that on the other, where is the competition? Interesting what SoC will Samsung use.

All manufacturers seem to be using the same 13MP camera. Hopefully, it's really good.

Differentiations - every manufacturer is looking for their own differentiation, chasing a thinner phone still seems to be it. Will ZTE Grand S be the thinnest phone flagship in 2013 or will Samsung out do them?

Sony on the other hand is doing something else to differentiate - water and dust proofing. Which is a great way to differentiate your product. Others should copy this, waterproofing is very useful.
