Why would xiaomi just drop omnivision to go to samsung and later go back to sony?

Forget dxomark. Do you think p50 pro with much smaller sensors compare to mate 40 pro would out of nowhere score way more? Do you think your retail unit can score same of the review unit ?

13MP 1/3" super wide with higher score than previous flagships with 50MP 1/1.5" that is 3x larger?

The same people gave to S20 ultra the score of 97 for AF. Despite all issues the phone had.
Gave to X60 Pro+ lower score than X50 pro+.

    The rumored price currently is 1200€. That's crazy. They cannot be that stupid. I know they can't be as competitive as xiaomi or Samsung but still with that pricing they will lose their last fans. More than 850 is unacceptable.

        Its body type allow smaller battery than s21+.

        Obviously would never have similar endurance.
        These flip phones should never have 120Hz nor flagship CPU (uses much more power than midrange series 6xx /7xx).

          Foldables I Like The Most
          1. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
          2. Motorola Razr 5G
          3. Oppo Find N
          4. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
          5. Huawei P50 Pocket

          I'd get a Find N and be done with foldables until one of them breaks. Find N made the Fold 3 look awkward. Samsung is a follower and not a leader. They did everything right with foldables except the outer display on the Fold and Flip and their battery life.

            Maybe after that, no guarantee.

            All the tech was sold to LG in early 2010s. Including that screen that expands.
            Too expensive to start again.

                    Hopefully many other brands join in lauching phones globally(like Vivo) and bringing foldables(like Sony).

For me I wanted the curve on the sides of the display to be less pronounced. Most flagships already switched to a flatter screen

                              My last phone from huawei was the P9 ... with a slick design and a very fast SoC (bootloader unlocked with self compiled LineageOS).
                              Now, huawei phones are so ugly that i can't watch them more than 2 seconds ... and yeah, still no way to unlock the bootloader.

                              What a shame huawei !!!

                                SD888 is not a problem for me, the problem is the lack of GMS (obviously). On P40 Pro it was possible to install GMS via some unofficial methods but on this one I really doubt it will be possible.

                                    If it has the best camera, I would buy it as a second phone if it were more reasonably priced.

                                    I have seen comparisons with the pixel 6 where the p50 wins
