Samsung Galaxy S21 FE hot take

10 January 2022
The Galaxy S21 Fan Edition seems to be missing some fan-favorite features but it's still a good phone.

It should have been priced at $500. Really poor pricing for what it offers.

This is called gas lighting. Anyone with commonsense will know this price is ridiculous.

Wait a few months for a serious price drop and THEN buy this phone

It doesn't have an LTPO screen

In my country, Argentina, for example it will be the cheapest way of having a SD888 smartphone.

Hamburger, 10 Jan 2022This new S21 FE has a microSD slot? That's great news... more"More importantly, though, the missing microSD card slot will surely disappoint some potential buyers."

Did you not read this? No, the Galaxy S21 FE does not have a microSD slot.

This doesn't look like a hot take to me, or am I missing something?

This new S21 FE has a microSD slot? That's great news! I store all my hi rez audio uncompressed files in a 512GB card.

The lack of 3.5mm jack can be forgiven since I can plug in a USB DAC for better quality music.

                  Can't wait! :-D

This isn't a hot take. This is the populist take.

It uses Android 12 fresh from the least box. That is the main consideration while waiting for the S22 family coming.

You guys got it wrong, even the S20 FE was never a flagship killer, the price at which it was launched was in affordable flagship category rather than flagship killer

I simply can't imagine buying a 128GB phone in 2022 with no expandable storage and still call myself a fan :D.

It's not a hot take sir, it's an objectively bad phone for the price because of its two older siblings S21 and S20 FE. S21 is a better phone for the same amount of money, whereas S20 FE undercuts it by offering itself at a substantially lower price. Lack of microSD card slot, something that was present on S20 FE, could also turn down many potential users.

I bought myself S20 FE at Christmas for 430 USD. Absolutely insane price performance ratio, and easily the best value phone I've ever got. I have nothing against Samsung, but I must say no sane person should buy S21 FE for the current price.

                                  21 x 21 FE

                                  Flex oled x rigid oled
                                  Ddr5 x ddr4x
                                  1/2.6" super wide x 1/3" super wide

Even at higher price, s21 would still be better deal.
