Samsung is always unfair. Giving it's Western consumers snapdragon (which is definitely superior) and feeds us exynos. This is just stupid 😐

I have been buying samsung products for almost a decade now, the addiction started with Galaxy Note 1 and their first Tablet GT P6800 which was 7.7 Inch tablet with a mind blowing Amoled screen. Their best ever Samsung flagship smartphone without an iota of ompromise has to be the S10 and S10 Plus especially the one with Ceramic back. They started compromising on quality in a certain secretive and subtle manner from Note 10 onwards by removing the 3.5 mm jack and reducing the number of pixels per inch which not a single phone manufacturer talks about nowadays during any phone launch. The entire concentration is now diverted towards only high refresh rates. Samsung is now confident they can fool and cheat Indian buyers by selling absolute Sub standard products at exorbitant prices just because they have a brand value and multiply their profits in times of stiff competition from Chinese mobile brands. There is no doubt that Exynos is a inferior SOC compared to SD with slower speed and hearing issues but they still dump this in Indian market because it will sell and Indians will buy. I think it's time Indian gave them a wakeup alarm and stop buying Exynos based phones. Period

LoL.
Funny. I think samsung thinks that Indians are fools. to whom they can sell crappy hardware for higher prices. Idk.. maybe we are, at least those who buy samsung phones.
We dont care about your Exynos chips samsung just give us snapdragon.
Who even buy these exynos phones anyways in india. Or samsung just use Exynos because they know in India people are going to buy oneplus anyways so just put Exynos chips and sell the product to fools who fall for trap.

They just spread half baked info. And create confusions. GSM arena should also change the price tags. It is actually misleading.

A52s 5g (bought at 28K INR for 8gb ram version during Diwali Sale) is more than enough... BTW i dont have experience of XiAOMI and Oppo, as they are meant to showcase only the hardware prowess but they are pathetic on the software wise.

Even if they're not, I don't see anything wrong with Samsung's approach for using their own modem. It costs more but it reduces their dependency on Qualcomm and more importantly it again prevents Qualcomm from having a monopoly.
As for the "additional money can be used to improve their chips" argument, I doubt cutting in-house modems in favor of Qualcomm modems is the only way they can improve their chips. They seem to be looking at improving their GPUs at the moment by using a new architecture. It wouldn't be far fetched to believe that they're also looking into improving their CPU and probably also dabbling with NPU.

They anticipated early on that the US would weaponise their ip. That's why they try to make everything in-house as much as possible. No US tech ban is likely to affect them.

SamsungFan, 10 Jan 2022You do realize that it is because Qualcomm holds a monopoly... moreYou do realise the Google's Pixel 6 and 6 Pro has a Samsung made modem that supports all US bands including mmwave? And that Samsung could have used a Qualcomm modem to provide connectivity instead of purchasing a whole Snapdragon chip. It's exactly what Apple does with their iPhones. Use a Qualcomm modem combined with their A series SOCs. Samsung could just as easily combined a Qualcomm modem with Exynos chip and pay far less money to Qualcomm.

If Exynos were that good or cost effective, you would see many non-Samsung Android phones have it. It's not. It's an inferior product that only the most hardcore Samsung fan can love... or tolerate.

People who find them expensive were probably never buying them anyway. They should go for the A-series Galaxy phones or one of the cheap Chinese phones.
And you know India has a hard on for cheap Android phones. That's why Xiaomi and Oppo launched the Poco and Realme brands respectively in India.

As someone.who has used the Exynos 2100 for almost a year now, I can say it's a very good chip, comparable to the 888 but doesn't heat up nearly as much. It has more than enough power for anyone's daily needs. The 990 was garbage but the 2100 is very good.

FE phone series touching the price of Flagship pathetic, pathetic. Wait for Samsung to remove 3.5 mm jack in A53, M series, etc... Wait, not finished yet, they will remove camera and introduce smartglass. RIP. SanguSam.
Instead,
Sammy should focus on bringing fold and flip features to A52s kind of phone and charge the same 50k INR, then that is called evolution, people will listen.
