Because tablet is so small it doesn't have space in the bezel for cameras.
And bezel should be as small as possible because everyone's tablet magically floats in the air, you don't need to hold it in your hand. Which means your fingers won't cover the screen, ever.
Did they ever try to hold a large tablet in such a way that no fingers ever touch the side of the device? Or do they already have levitation devices? Or are they selling AR renders of the tablet?
Why the notch on a TABLET?!

Wow horrible specs and prices.
The s7+ I got over a year ago with 8/256 and free keyboard costed as much as the 8/256 s8 is supposed to cost.
Wth is with the only 128gb on the s8 ultra.

The iPad Pro has better hardware. But Samsung has Apple handily beat on functionality. Which makes software support point a non-issue since Samsung's 3 years of support is WAY MORE VALUABLE than Apple's 5. Quality over quantity.
The ROG Flow Z13 is going to destroy the competition, so that's the more obvious alternative to get if you're spending over $1K on a tablet.

Pricing ridicolous. Then i buy an ipad which has better software and is supported for much longer than i need.

$1,400 for the most expensive model? No thanks, I'd buy a Windows 2-in-1 laptop or tablet instead. Even with Samsung DeX capability, Android can never be a Linux, let alone Windows PC replacement.

Nothing unexpected here maybe except the base Tab S8 model which will have a slightly lower price than the Tab S7 had at launch.
