This was a phone designed for serious, demanding users and could have been the start of something great.

LG could still be around if their policy had been changed.

LG would have saved much money by stop selling in places sales were low. Besides Apple, no foreign brand will ever be significant in China. India is dominated by Xiaomi and BBK. Southeast Asia is basically BBK.
Could focus in places like USA, Canada, Brazil, South Korea and Europe.

LG would never be able to offer sub-$250 phones with similar specs seen from Xiaomi. LG surely lost toms of money with K series and all those cheap phones exclusive for carriers ($90 phones at Cricket for example).

Other mistakes were made like phones with different specs in different regions (no Quad DAC or no 3rd camera) , variants of same phone (G8, G8x, G8s, G8+) , some downgrade performed on v series .

Obviously people here are gonna blame the slow updates, when they have zerocto do with LG failing. Vivo has always been way much worse than LG with updates. Samsung before 2018 was awful as well with flagships getting new android in february.

Ya bro metoo have lgv10 in dead condition, bootloop problem.
            Anyone who can solve it.
Even lg care can't solve it.
Thanks a lot lg for shut down there mobile unit

Its been one year since I've owned my LG G8x and I am totally happy with it.

Great Audio quality, great dual screen that grabs eyeballs, reasonable specced but amazingly well sorted cameras, 2 solid displays, good operation speed, memory card slot, 3.5mm jack and slighty buggy, but unbloated firmware...
              I coudn't have chosen a better phone in $300~.

HINT: This post is not meant to disrepute the thinking capabilities of Samsung and Apple fanboys, they're just like my friends. :)

I had the V10 and used it from mid 2016 to early 2019.

With all LG smartphones I had/have (G Pro, V10, V40) - there is one thing that made them winners for me: no matter how stuffed the internal memory was, and also with the memory card being almost full - the phones did not get super slow. The user experience always kept beeing smooth, despite sometimes not even being able to update the weather app due to lack of memory.

Luckily, I never experienced the bootloop problem - mine was however an imported phone, and not an EU version, as they always released models with double internal memory abroad (Hong Kong, Korea)...

The phone still works today, but I made the switch to the LG V40 (imported version, that beautiful red one, once again something not available in the EU) in early 2019 not only due to a better camera setup and more memory - but also due to the V10 having serious issues with the wifi, it kicked me off regularly, even with a full stable connection...

What a pity that LG completely quit the smartphone market. Will switch to Samsung S22 ultra, once it is released, probably import version with the better processor as well.

It just makes no sense why they release lower spec models for the EU market...

The V10 was definitely a great start to their then new line of premium smartphones, it seems LG did not invest enough into marketing their devices abroad, while Samsung did.

Innovative way to waste screen space for nothing!

Unfortunately the dreaded LG bootloop problem was well known outside of the USA too, my mate still has his dead v10, bought cos it did raw images, it was a very nice bit of kit, I borrowed it a few times.
Did anyone ever come up with a fix for the v10 bootloop?
With an sd 808, it's still a very capable device, worth fixing if possible.

Something curious about the bootloops on the G4/V10, is that from what I saw, it affected mostly those carrier devices from the USA.
