4 Xbox's with 2 game pass subscriptions, quite a few games to choose from for myself and 3 kids between 7 and 16. I couldn't imagine paying for each game individually.

Only WoW were special and maybe dragon age game from 2004 if i remeber correctly.

and multiplayer game with dedicated server required a server.
and hosting server cost money.
Even minecraft cost you some bucks if you want to host a dedicated always-on server.
Games like diablo 2 still need somebody to host your game
Diablo 3 use a dedicated server at the cost of microtransactions
I don't know you but I rather have the monthly-fee gaming future than microtransactions

There arent many games which was like this but if this become future of gaming i am not interested.
I never played WoW and i never will just because of that.
I am not interested in games which are that much costly.
Have plenty of games even those which costed 60 euros brand new just like GTA 5 for example or Assasins creed Oddysey and Walhalla.
But apart the base game and expansions i am not interested in games which needs a monthly fee.
If diablo 4 will be just like World of Warcraft i will skip it.
In this case Grim Dawn is way better game.

Hope diablo 4 gets same way.
If they made it just like WoW and i have to pay to play i will skip the game.
I see no point to pay for game more than innitial costs for game and all its expansions.

Like Nokia, serval game studios it has had have been closed / disbanded like the original Age of Empires and Fable. Also M$ been on a money grabbing spree, couple that with the fact that shitty Activison CEO Kotick will stay on its a recipe for disaster. Most of the original devs from Blizzard have already left sadly.

Bad news for gamers, customers. Another takeover, more and more companies are losing their independence, falling into the hands of large corporations. Service games, subscriptions, expensive cards and cryptocurrencies. The gaming market, especially the PC, is getting worse.

The cod points system and wager matches were a much better system compared to the trash we got now. You used to play to get the points, now you buy them. It's just the whole battle royal, battlepass, and whatever similar bs system.
Maybe Microsoft buying it is actually a good thing, better than what Activision is doing with it. Halo Infinite seems to be on a good start
