I have an ultra and was thinking on changing for this new version.
But if these leaks are true (and I'm 99% sure they are) it means:
- that the 108 MP sensor is still there, which means digital algorithms won't cut the horrible low light video and dynamic range. Photos will be sure nice (already are) but video is an entirely different story. You can save videos in 12 bit HDR format, but REAL detail and dynamic range will be cr@p as soon as the light is not as on a sunny day;
- 12/10 MP sensors on the other zoom means no real 8K. So video will still be 8K 24 or 30 fps only on the main camera and everything else resized (cr@p).
- I have no info about the new chips, but I hear that speed has increased but I hear nothing about (real) energy savings. My S20 Ultra and even the S21 have sub-par battery life. I am afraid that it won't change much...
To put it simple: my S20 Ultra has a horrible low light video performance and after two (very expensive) generations with the same sensors, it won't change much. IF the S22 Ultra brings iPhone 13 Pro level battery life AND comparable low light video to the top tier, I will buy one. If it is an S21 Ultra crossed with a note with the same (expensive) price tag and extra speed (which no-one needs on a smartphone), no thank you. Better wait for the Fold 4 or iPhone 15.

Kuba, 19 Jan 2022ugly with useless pen, god where are you going Samsung? why... moreS pen is the most useful feature for many of us. Even my kids use it for drawing and stuff when pen pencil crayons are not around. I myself do many day today tasks with S-pen alone.
Fruit-Eye-phone is just as good as any regular mobile phone, infact even budget phones are now offering better features than fruit.
Thanks Samsung for keeping the legend alive in new 22series.

They should make a new move and focus on more innovation unlike launching too many series and models.
Eliminate the a1x and a3x (leaving the a0x,a2x and a4x for low ends)typically 4g and all m-model(m0x and m2x)5g
Eliminate 4g model for a7x(leaving the m7x,a5x and m5x,a6x and m6x)
All together 5 a-serial models(4g) and 6 m-serial models(5g) with 6 powerful flagships in a year pointing to the flip,fold,FE and the 3 S-series probably the note along.
Ain't too much for a LEGEND.

50megapixels(GN5-wide) with cinematic mode abilities
50megapixels(imx_sony-ultrawide) housing periscope telophoto abilities of 10x opt zoom
50megapixels(JN1)housing telophoto abilities of 3x opt,6x hybrid zoom
Plus a 12megapixel telophoto macro.
Is it too much for an ULTRA..?

What's the difference between note 20 and s22 design ...Maybe the design team that was previously in charge of the Galaxy Note line took over here.... plus no 3.5mm jack... atleast if no charger then have 3.5mm jack back in place and stand apart from other brands
