The Canon EOS R5 C is a hybrid Cinema EOS camera based on the R5

This makes it the smallest and lightest Cinema EOS camera. It has active cooling and can shoot 8K 60 fps videos.

I think their amateur range should now merge the Cinema and Photograph series. At least till APS C

Give some solid features and merge them. Lenses are expensive and this ultimately makes photography expensive for even the clients and photographers both. Eventually, we suffer from less demand, specially so with mobile cameras getting better.

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2022Be sure that the 1080p out of this 📷 is way better than 8K ... moreLike you cannot compare quality, you cannot the resolution, 8K is still an 8K, not 4K or FHD, its not the same. Would need to be quite bad as very entry lvl bad and most of phones, not to mention flagships are quite performers in this regard, not to mention they dont need such cooling method.

But tbh, it can still be implemented and get disabled via software, just like what Nikon did with the Z9.

No brand will make camera good as this on a phone.
Nor Xiaomi or Samsung, Apple or Sony, Google or Oneplus.
I dont ever this there will be a phone with a lot better camera than a camera worth 2-3k

Looks like a good hybrid camera. But, the image stabilization is electronic?? 🤔 The lenses are no problem for me. I have Canon lens and 3rd party lens. I'll wait for more reviews.

Ivo., 19 Jan 2022$4500 to shoot 8K, which you can shoot with the $1000 S21 U... moreIt tends to get better results. Pros pay tens of thousands for good video cameras. 12 bits is a bit in the real side (how many bits did you say the Samsung phone has?). This camera has to do raw and 4:2:2, 4:4:4 at around 600 mb/s hevc, 1200 h264, 2400 mb/s intra h264, to justify its price. So, what can the shitty phone camera footage do? Try to follow movement in a soccer match with it, compared to a good camera. It could watch grass grow, that's generally slow enough not to mess up it's phone video codec! :). Yeah, I would like Samsung to do 600 hevc or 300 h266,, but we are stuck with lower quality video at the moment, for years. We should all go buy $100 phones, maybe $200, the pictures are still going be ok, the video still poorer.

The 1/1.3" sensor would generally be better for photos and if you're on a phone you can often download an app for better recording modes.

The only stabilization that you'll be getting is from the lens itself that you'll use for this camera. EIS is good if you want to have some form of stabilization for slight shakes, but it's definitely not advisable for serious filmmaking.

As for true hybrid cameras, the better option would be the A7 IV or Nikon Z6 II, but the true best hybrids are the flagships of Sony and Nikon, the A1 and Z9 respectively.
