That is just a marketing ploy to get more profit from the brands' wireless earbuds. Also, Bluetooth connections can be tampered wirelessly without consent. Some so-called "innovation" should never exist in the first place.

This reminds me of time when every network carrier were blocking their cell phones just for their network.
                            No thanks.

This is kinda like an integrated 5G modem on current 5G-supported Qualcomm and Mediatek chipsets.

Shanti Dope, 20 Jan 2022They're not making the phones thinner. In fact, I have... moreHis point is that rather than take away the physical SIM, that phones should be made slightly less thinner, if need be, to accommodate the SIM. And he probably had a good reason for saying that, after all they claim that the extinction agenda against the 3.5mm jack is to free more space for other things (LMAO). He never said nor implied that those things you said aren't contributing to fitting in more components than before.

Meanwhile, if you "haven't seen anyone make a phone in recent years that's thinner than 8mm," then you're not so conversant on phones—the phone I'm typing this on is 6.8 mm, upper-midrange, and was released just the past year. And of course, it accommodates a physical SIM. Two, actually.
