But because of most idiotic companies you can't find good size phones on the market anymore. And now is this trend with distorted screens like 20:9 or 21:9. I feel like using my TV's remote control rather than a smartphone. Watching a movie with subtitles on this makes me throw. An advertised 6.2" phone, you load a movie on it and realise that the real screen size is 5.5". marketing bullshit...ofc

Finally, after Pixel 5A and all series 6 were oversized, Google is returning to a fledged mobile with an almost acceptable size for the 6A. No wonder that Pixel 4A is from 2 generations ago but still in Google store. People started to wake up ad get fed of crappy phablets that are easy to drop and crack.

People could buy pixel A series phone for the headphone jack. But since they've removed it now, why would anyone want it over then normal pixel 6? Mind you, pixel 6a wouldn't be much cheaper

I've already been burned by the mess of software updates on the 3a. Every update something else gets broken and issues (new and old) never get addressed. So much for in-house hardware and software. I'd suggest people to stay far away.

Have they learned nothing? Keep the scanner on the back... switching from pixel 5 to this would be a downgrade..

I'm living in a hellscape of phablets.

Five year old camera sensor and no basic features like a headphone jack.

Why even bother... It's probably gonna be overpriced at €550 too.

Best Pixel a-series to me is still the Foray.

I would've gotten the 4a for $200 at OfferUp but went nah. It's mostly a downgrade from my 3 but an upgrade in battery, more RAM, and headphone jack. But these days, I need 256 GB of storage minimum and 8 GB of RAM. Basically, what my Razr 5G offers already.

Makes me wonder what chipset they'll use for a "lesser" model...

MarOMG, 24 Jan 2022Pixel 6A is just 1 milimeter longer and wider than Pixel 3A... moreI would prefer same screen with smaller body instead of bigger screen in bigger body. There is a huge choice if you want to buy a big screen phone, but compact phones are limited to only high spec (high price) devices.
