It will only create more e-waste than before. After all, there is numerous reputable third-party charger that can offer fast charging.

Everything is immanent expensive while quality drops. And it's even jobs. The level of pay has not matched the increased cost of everything. Plus most jobs now a days staff less and less and treat people worse. It's terrible.

Again the prices were already high enough to drop when they were glass. And the small price drop didn't justify plastic back and removal of the charger. And returning something that shouldn't have been removed in the first place didn't justify a price hike.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022Screen brightness of 7-8 years flagships? S10 was first... moreEven with higher brightness it still didn't have a good of legibility in sunlight. Nor was it as accurate. And yes 7-8 years.
The 1 iii and super expensive $1800 pro 1 match the brightness of the Galaxy s5.
The insanely expensive and even more under powered and lacking $2500 pro matches the brightness of the Galaxy s4.
Not to mention their lesser battery endurance and speakers matching two year old devices.
Or the fact that the pro 1 with barely utilized sensor is the only one that really comes up to par in camera.

Absolutely ridiculous. Once again, Samsung overcharges and under-delivers. Not that it matters - I won't buy curved screen garbage ever again, so unless a miracle happens and all the leaks are wrong, I'm not even going to bother with the S22 Ultra (no curved screen and no camera-disabling BS when unlocked like the Fold 3, and I'd have pre-ordered the thing).

I love my Note 9 still but the curved screen makes it almost unusable at times, and it's started to get some screen burn-in despite rarely leaving the screen on long, let alone leaving it on the same still image.

I'd just go buy a Sony phone but, oh wait, they're not available in most countries, and if you import them, have fun with no VoLTE and 5G (with VoLTE actually being required in some areas for phone calls, such as rural areas in the country where I live).

I don't want Chinese spyware either (though other than Apple and Samsung, those are pretty much our only options here) - they may be good value but there's always a catch. Build quality doesn't tend to be as good as non-Chinese brands, support is mixed, and few are flagship-tier like I want anyway.

Ironic that in the age of $1000-$2000 flagships, there are very few, and even fewer that give you all the bells and whistles without some kind of major drawback(s). Apple and Samsung have really hurt the market with their BS.
