Leaked Samsung Galaxy S22 prices for the US are $100 higher than the S21 series

25 January 2022
The leaked EU prices are the same as last year's models, but several sources point to a price hike for the US.

Dometalican, 25 Jan 2022See, with integrated mmWave and 8GB RAM, this sounds not be... moreIkr. The price for S22 and S22+ should remain the same as the S21 and S21+ before. As for Ultra, it should have 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage as the base configuration.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2022Well, the V60. - Lost the QHD screen from V50. - Lost... more- QHD does sound like a bummer considering its size, but the upside is that it doesn't use much battery and 400 ppi is more than good enough for me. My gaming laptop has far less screen ppi than the V60.
    - The V50's telephoto camera is only 2x zoom and the V60's main 64MP camera can easily do 2x to 3x zoom from it, so I don't think it will be missed.
    - Fair point about not having UFS 3.0 considering its status as a flagship-grade smartphone, but UFS 2.1 is still more than good enough for me. Besides, I only keep my files in a microSD card.
    - GG6 isn't that much different than GG5 tbh. After all, I use armoured phone casing, so having higher grade glass protection is even more irrelevant.
    - Frankly, the sensor size doesn't matter much for ultrawide camera. I do care about field of view though and I personally find it a shame that LG didn't use the same 9mm ultrawide camera from the G8X/V50S 5G.

Despite all the drawbacks, I still love the phone though. The detachable DualScreen case is outright excellent and far more practical than any foldable screen smartphones.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2022Sony is even worseWorse in what way? I don't ever see Sony mocking other brands. If anything, they collab with true professionals and not some worthless sponsored tech YouTubers who clearly has no idea what they are talking about.

What they need is an aptitude test in hiring for the phone industry, and you can start up a phone industry on virtually any third world nation, India fine, a Pacific Island nation of 60,000 people even, a African nation with 10% the wage of China and mines, 100x the local employment. We are letting people do is over here guys, the phone is not really worth more than an ultra cheap laptop, it's just that they make you believe it is, like you're gullible. The USA should get onto the African idea. If they are going to output their money, they might as well do it there instead. With US businesses asking for secure economic regions, to guarantee secure economic supply.. they could sleep into Leads Rea and China, that would solve many issues, and demand a minimum taxation on all US individuals and companies, where, if the local taxation is lower, they pay the difference (which is what China should do to). This would solve many problems and budgetary problems. The only real financial, elegance happening at present. Is how much money they can get out of you! :)

The aptitude test l, is to find only those who can work loyalty, fast, accurately and honestly with skill and intelligence, work stable lives and stable family lives, with no exploitation, greed and cunning. . Cherry picking those people out, most nations can set up a China, and distribute consultants to advice and manage the lack of those people in other areas of the economy. Good bye to the single supply market.

Shouldn't they be $500-$1000 less. We should all do a Kickstarter luxury privacy phone for under $500. That will stuff.t them. Lower Your Prices!

I imagine the NSA, will be on the horn to them, asking them to lower their prices. There is such a high gap in between pricing and reality now, it just means new OEM players, and new chipsets that are not under control of old countries. As is what is feared.

A $100 luxury phone, it's possible, who needs a flagship chipset, just an extra 10c to $1 in build quality and features. You can, swap out the chipset battery and and screen, in the same design for an under $500 flagship chip set discrete gaming phone with business and gaming.modes. Welcome to the $2000-$3000 phone, if you do not.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2022Samsung used to mock Apple a lot, now they can't live ... moreSamsung is living just fine with Apple considering Apple still doesn't have any features that separate them from everyone else. Motorola phones have tons of interesting accessories. Samsung phones have in-screen fingerprint reader, foldables, and powerful hardware. Sony were the first with the 4k displays and offer tons of features alongside Playstation. Even LG had in-screen speakers and a dual-screen setup. What has Apple done in the past 7 years? TAKE AWAY features.

Scram, 25 Jan 2022Samsung does not care about their flagship line anymore. ... moreSamsung and Sony have the strongest and best quality devices. You're insane if you seriously think Apples are premium anymore. Sonys not only support micro sd and headphone jack, but they directly connect to professional DSLR cameras and have the latest hardware. Sony phones also include chargers. Meanwhile, Apple has literally nothing special about them besides new camera gimmicks and an aging operating system still restricted by the same issues from the first iphone. At least Samsung innovates with foldables, and it looks like the market is once again following Samsung's lead. Cope.

                    This in 2019.

Where were all brightness lovers when phones like s6 and s7 had less than 550 nits, while devices like Z3, Z3+ and M4 all had over 800 nits?

I wonder how these people were able to use their phones.

Less than 700 nits is why xperia takes much longer than galaxu and other to suffer burn-in.

Apple has not increased prices for several years consecutively with the iPhones.

Samsung keeps jacking the price up, but downgrading several features like plastic back on the S21. If it was the FE version didn’t matter but it’s the regular lineup we are talking about.
