      2. Having Airplane Mode means all wireless communication hardware is disabled. This greatly lowers the energy consumption of the device, as well as the overall temperature. Correspondingly, the performance improves because only the CPU, GPU, NPU, and other processing-related components of the SoC are working. Maybe the benefit is not so much, but it still counts.

Ivo., 26 Jan 2022Expect the iPhone to have ray tracing in about 10 years!Even without ray tracing, the A15 still crushes the Exynos 2100's Xclipse GPU with ray tracing.
The moment Apple includes ray tracing accelerator hardware on their SoCs, it's pretty much game over for the Android chipmakers.
As it stands today, all Android chipmakers are fighting for who has the second best SoC in smartphones because of just how much ahead Apple is for years.

Wish AMD would just create their own ARM Mobile SoC & enter the mobile market than partner with samsungs with their crappynos coz I know its gonna be a hot & throttle mess. Also have TSMC fabbed their chips & not scamsung. Hopefully TSMC successfully expands their manufacturing plants to increase production to lessen constraints from their partners & not Apple hoggling everything up.

I love Samsung more than anything but come on now... adding raytracing to a severely limited mobile chip is just wasted silicon. Besides, even current AMD desktop GPUs completely suck at the feature. What makes them think this is a good idea?

His tests aren't flawless, if most people blindly believe him, that's their problem, not mine.

It's going to be just like the horrible 888 fiasco. The 888 was terrible because it used Samsung's node, and everybody got hyped for the latest Exynos because they thought it would be better, and big surprise, (sarcasm, to a non-halfwit it was to be expected) it wasn't.

That's because both chips used Samsung's node. Both the 8 Gen 1 and 2200 will be using Samsung's node so do you honestly expect anything to change.
