In normal situation face ID is so much better than fingerprint scanner and that’s why Apple won’t leave it behind even when these Android users thinks Apple will replace it with underscreen fingerprint scanner.

Kriegsherr, 29 Jan 2022the problem is even though majority of ios users dont like ... more"You" is not "majority". I've used fingerprint scanner before and it was fine. But I wouldn't ever want FaceID get replaced by TouchID. Maybe as addition, but certainly not as replacement. It's just so much more convenient and seamless than fingerprint scanners. And I don't care if that means I'll need a notch there. I just don't care about the notch because I know reason it's there is the FaceID system. And I really like it. Even despite whole COVID thing and masks.

Fingerprint scanners scratch and while a lot of them work, a lot of them become slower or start failing 90% of the time. Zach also showed his torn fingerprints cause issues with registration of fingerprints in the very beginning as well.

Had this feature been found on iOS14, I might own my iPhone 12 mini since I hated taking my mask off to unlock it. But nah. I still can't stand iOS. I tried giving it a chance last year but never again. I prefer fingerprint scanner for life.
I actually preferred iPhone 7 more than 12 mini when I had them. I really can't stand Face ID, notch, and prefer the home button.

For peoples who can ask iPhone team why. I just wonder why iPhone do not apply touchID under display as they are the first to imtroduce fp scanner in this world (correct me if I am wrong). So why must they be shy?
