first : Xiaomi's 100w charging IS AN OPTION no one forced you to use it, you can buy a 2W one and spend days SAFELY charge your device
so more is better
not everyone can spend hours waiting for their phone to fill up
best time for 0 to 80% is 30min
anything more is waste of life
plus don't worry about your android battery
90% of android phones are useless after 2 year
with good battery health or without

Also, all chargers seems to slow down the closest they approach 100%, so the phone should be pumping out less than 1W if it's already charged, even 10W and 20W chargers does this.

And the Galaxy Note7 was catching fire with 15W, so is the speed the only thing that you should worry about?
Also, all these charging tech have smart temperature control in their charging bricks and should know when they are getting too hot or receiving too much power, I doubt the OnePlus Nords and Poco have this tho, they are the cheaper phones.

Anyway, having fast charging is still attractive for quick charging before going out, I'm not into battery banks.
I do use 10W charger while sleeping and the battery reaches 35°C all the time in AIDA64, which shows internal battery temperature like CPU Z does, and my 20W charger reaches 42°, so I'm not sure how your 15W charger is reaching only 29°C, I assume the phone isn't using all the 15W, which means it takes super long to charge a medium 3-4k mAh battery and even worse with a big 5-6k mAh battery.

As for myself I change phone every 2-3 years so I don't need long software support like Apple is providing, but the speed of receiving an update is still important to me, and Samsung is good at this, Apple even better but I'm not into iOS.
