it seems Samsung is driving Android these days and Google have taken a back seat.
Android 12 is mostly Samsung innovation, WearOS 4 is Samsung in large part, Samsung delivers updates much more reliably than Google.
It seems Google more or less have forfeited Android

Most people keep talking trash about it but they're either apple fanboys or they never even used a samsung. My Note 20 Ultra got 3 large updates in the last 30 days. My entry-level Tab S6 Lite gets one update every month, sometimes two - since release date (I pre-ordered it). Samsung dominates the software support experience. And the fact that you can live chat with a representative or let technical support connect to your phone on distance is great. People trashtalking samsung everywhere are just bitter and their lives must be pretty sad.

But wait, are you really expecting those entry-level phones you listed to get more than 2 OS updates? You really expect phones in that tier to get as much support as the mid-rangers and flagships do? Wow! What won't one see on these gsma streets? The owners should be very happy to receive more than 1, but here you are moaning. Which OEM offers what you're asking for to phones in that price segment? Just mention 1. And hey, I assure you that if you were the one calling the shot in any of these companies, you'd most probably not, too. But don't worry, go ahead and convince yourself otherwise.
