If Samsung gets rid of all their differentials that everyone wants then they will lose their existing customers and most likely won’t attract and new ones.

Samsung is selling them and whether you like them or not they will force you in every way (removing jack, then the dongle and then the wired earbuds themselves out of the box) so you will be in a need to buy their wireless earbuds..
The same might happen in the future with the type c port (they've took power brick) to sell their wireless chargers.
In those departemnts phone market was better 5-6 years ago..
you got everything you paid for, you had only ONE flagship/year so the choice was simple

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2022They changed the aspect ratio gone back to a more wider display Yes, compared to the S21. But the S8 was 18.5:9 and the S22 will be 19.5:9. I compared the 5.8" (S8) with the 6.1" (S22) on displaywars.com and the width is the same.

I'm still using my Galaxy S8 and really like the size of the S22. But I was wondering about one thing, when comparing the display sizes considering the ratios the width of both are almost the same (0.5mm difference). But the width of the S22 is 70.6mm whereas the S8 is only 68.1mm (2.5mm difference). Does that mean the bezels around the S22's display are larger than those of the almost 5-year-old S8?

I buy Samsung is because of their screen. Screen downgrade to FHD since s21 is not acceptable. A pass for me unless they bring it back to QHD or above (with 120Hz or not)

This is incorrect. The S22+ will have 6,6" screen, but the S21+ had 6,7 screen.
Besides that, the screen ratio of the S22+ is 19,5:9 while the S21+ had the elongated 20:9 ratio hence the build is completely different.
So just like the S22 and S22U the device gets to be shorter then it's predecessor while having comparable width.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a good thing. Phones have gotten way too loonnngggg.

For me the minuse are:
- 5g higher band not available in Europe
- no 1 tb internal storage
- no sd card support
- possibility to don't update/ downgrade software
- real fast charge maximum 30 minutes
- battery warranty like Sony did 3 years
- no power delivery charger
- no really good screen protector from factory
- no guarantee that front and back glass is Victus or newer variant
