How about bringing the search functionality per channel in the app?
Works on desktop and mobile YouTube website for years, was never an option in the app.

No stupid ads (nothing against ads but they are so stupid/unrelated on youtube), background playback (like wtf, this is so basic feature), no useless updates like this one, true black theme.

I always use Youtube from Firefox browser instead of Youtube app. I can use uBlock Origin on my phone and bypass any advertisements. Firefox allows you to listen to Youtube videos while the screen is off or app is in the background. There is zero reason to pay for Youtube subscription if you use Firefox and Brave browser.

That’s a green flag but personally I’m happy buying the subscription and having YouTube ad free on devices with different OS, plus there is YouTube music too, I love it.
