The reason why people choose Chinese brands over Samsung is due to the fact that Samsung charges a premium compared to similarly specced competitors.This premium is charged because of brand value, better software experience/support and also IP rating in Galaxy A series.

That's why people still opt for second hand iphones. Heck my 6s and 6s plus are the oldest iphones still getting support (ios 15.3).

Having iphone X in 2022 is better deal than having redmi note 11 pro.
