Its really sad that they merged both series,i always preferred S series over note because i liked the curves in phone from boxy design of the note, I sold my S21 ultra in order to buy S22 ultra but it got NOTE-boxy design, hard luck

Might be sad to see it go for long time Note fans, but I think it's rather mandatory given how Samsung sees the S-pen as a standout feature.
Merging the S Ultra with the Note gives opportunity for Samsung to add the S-pen slot in other devices, such as popular foldable flagships.

every single distinctive thing of note series are put in s22ultra (edgy design, spen) and also upgraded. it's an updated note with a different name. what's the problem with naming?

The only reason why 3310 is considered such a tank is that it was a bestseller and one of the few Nokia phones that were normally durable, so a lot of people experienced it, but it wasn't any more durable than Samsung which was not even in the top 5 in sales. But eventually people rightfully realized Nokias were actually shit.

you benefit by having a note released at the start of the year. Its not like samsung played around with chipsets on the note series to differ from the S lineup.

My wish for the Galaxy S22 FE:
Exactly the same specs and dimensions as the S22 Ultra, but with a flat screen, minus the telephoto camera, minus the S-Pen. Front-facing camera reduced to 12MP.
And bright, fun colors.
Something better than the S22 Plus, but lesser than the S22 Ultra.

I used Note1,2,3,4 8 ,10 and 20 ultra, surely i am going to miss Note series. but for me now S series is going to be an option. S22 Ultra is just an improved version of Note 20 Ultra so not switching to it.

Samsung, Listen to your fans, Note lovers want the following:
1. A Note 4 like flat screen and grippy back.
2. NO pin hole or notch. They are a distraction and lazy industrial design. (Apple, shame on you starting the trend.)
3. If a Fold, then 1/2 thin as the Fold 3, outer display S-Pen ready and again, no pin hole or notch, like the Fold 3 inner display.
Writing this on the last decent does it all correctly Note, the 9. Only flaw being lack of a wide angle camera.

LOL, 13 Feb 2022The S22 Ultra felt a bit too chunky, also not a fan of roun... moreI don't see how that'd work. The S22 FE will be larger than the S22 tho and have fewer cameras. But I can't think of a thing Samsung will shave off the S22 to make the FE a cost-effective champ like the S20 FE, besides the plastic back.
This is why the S22 should have had QHD+ and started at 12GB of RAM. The S22 FE would have had 1080p + 8GB and sell well.
