I have Buds+, BudsPro and WF1000-XM4, Buds + for pc due to sound quality (But very ok for voice and series/films), Buds Pro & Sony, I use them on a regular basis. When I want NC, I use Sony since they are better (perhaps due to the foam, I kinda like it and at first I wasn't) and also in general sound. But I'm eager to test these, because for some usage (cycling and be aware, talking to ppl), ambient sound is nice, NC on the other hand IS needed for some (while trip, sleeping etc) :)

IEM version of Koss Porta Pro headphones :) Meaning - you hear your music, and the whole bus around also :-O

These were launched for pre-order just 2 hours ago here in Malaysia, and I've already placed mine. Retail at $200 but managed to get decent cashback and ended up paying $177 net.
Have been looking for something like this for so long as I hate having my ears blocked by the silicon buds (hated foam ones more, and yet I need to wear them a lot when I'm performing with the band).
Looking forward to receive mine!

Hbk112, 16 Feb 2022Well the good old airpods or oneplus buds design also lets ... moreactually all earphones and headphones which uses dynamic drivers need air to allow them to work properly, the difference, this sony link buds is for more people who want to listen to outside sound more than what's on their phone, maybe for safety reason, the difference is that airpods, galaxy bud and every other dynamic driver uses elongated vents to make them more bassy (called bass reflex) which causes some limited noise supression.
on the other hand, more expensive wired earphones/iems, tend to use balanced armatures which are completely sealed and have significantly more noise supression as they don't need air to work.

Well the good old airpods or oneplus buds design also lets in outside sound easily... Why sony felt the need to innovate this is beyond me .. except they wanted to hype can earn money

This could be great for people who don't listen to music and do everything else. But I doubt they'd be willing spend this much.

I rather prefer the best noise isolation than an open design but this can be better for outdoors when it is important to listen to environmental sounds as well
