Google confirms dynamic color themes coming to more Android 12 phones

Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Xiaomi, Tecno and more devices will be getting the feature.

Back when phones actually had slight bezels, much more could be done with the front design and you could tell phones apart from the front alone, but now? Not so much. As for the position, there are only two reasonable options. If it's not in the middle, it should be on the side. Didn't you understand this?

                  Samsung already has it. Maybe not the google official one but whatever samsung version they have. And it works with all apps that support material you. Even keyboards.

                    Older phones were a lot more fun with all the unique themes from all over the world made by different people. You could get pretty much any type of theme.

                      It's funny how from the front, most of these phones look similar if not the same

                        I don't know about every body else but on one UI 4 (samsung) I already have dynamic theming for the every thing (not apps) but settings and samsung apps, and you can actually disable it. (it takes background color from the wallpaper and let you choose multiple themes).

                              I think it looks hideous when they color everything in one and the same pastel color. Yuk! Design has never been Google's strong point.

                                How dynamic is something that doesn't let you change the colour of the clock for example? Instead, the system will choose what it wants. It is not customisation at all. I am on Pixel, btw.
