Good, because a lot of people criticized the phone performance when they took pictures through Snapchat. If people can't learn to use your tech, you must go out of your way to bring it to them through the door they actually use. Samsung knows this, a lot of other companies don't.

The South Korean firm revealed that the Galaxy S22’s native camera apps like AI Autofocus, Night Mode, Portrait Video, and Super HDR work directly inside social media apps like Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. It means that you don’t need to capture your photo or video first using the stock camera app and then import it to social media apps. What’s more, you can even use the 3x telephoto lens within those apps

[deleted post]I don't think you answered his question though. Yes, samsung has capable cameras but it isn't as every other andorid phone optimised at all with instagram. In fact the short answer is yes, stories come out very low quality in any android phone.

social media app integration was one of the unique features of iphones. good to see samsung did it,too. first, 3 year major updates, then iphone whatsapp transfer, now 4 year major updates. they put quite an effort on software side.

I wonder why these app developers don't simply ask for permission to use the phone's built-in camera app and algorithms instead of having to create camera algorithms that most of the time don't utilize the phone's camera hardware to the fullest.

if i remember correctly there was article back then saying android isnt friendly with instagram. instagram was capturing android screen when posting story/reel instead using camera software hence why instagram story on android always inferior than ios. does this article adress this issue?

Android user back in the days used to be able to utilize third party cameras like Gcam but Google limited it to built in cameras after a certain android version.

What is unique to each S22? Have Samsung devices ever been more than a showcase of Samsung research and development. All other OEMs use their panels, sensors etc. Apple are the smartphone pioneer and still lead in many fascets. Who knows what might be the next disruptor.

To name it, the S22 is a flagship but it does not have the flagship camera setup nor the QHD display or the S-Pen and it is okay, because the phone is small, and it costs less. But why call it a flagship then ? Imagine Apple calling their iPhone SE as the iPhone 13 lite because same processor. It be inaccurate
