By only releasing new phones once a year with modest changes that most of the time don't encourage you to buy new model unless you absolutely need/want latest and greatest by any means? By always delivering nothing but flagship chipsets in all their products, even budget SE models? Which one? I'm still on iPhone XR and while iPhone 13 is nice and I'd like to have one, I just don't feel the need. And I'm not punished for that unlike with Android phones where they stop giving you updates the moment they can, which is usually after just 2 years unless you have some 1000€ flagship where they toss in 1 extra year. Pathetic. On iPhone you just never feel left out and it's quite nice. It's still super fast thanks to flagship chipset and I've got 99% of features in iOS 15 that iPhone 13 got.

I never complain when americans speak words of other languages as if they are from english. It is even worse than grammar mistakes from non-english native speakers.

According to it, 8G1 would be cheaper than 888 and D9000 costs 2x more than D1200, but still cheaper than 8g1.

They are naming the phone &qu... moreDimensity 1000 was not a bad SoC per se. It was good when it was announced (Nov-2019). But it did not deliver on its promises, simply because it was just NOT available in phones launched internationally for almost 7-8 months after it was announced. What is the point of announcing a great SoC if people cannot buy phones using that SoC? And by the time it was available in phones internationally (Jul/Aug 2020), the focus was on next generation Snapdragon/ Exynos/ Kirin SoCs.
A flagship SoC's appeal is only for the first 9 months after it is announced. If people (all over the world) cannot buy phones using that flagship SoC in the first 9 months after it's announcement, what is the achievement to boast about?

Don't get silent sho... moreI am here, gone nowhere. And I already made a comment in this thread itself. Feb-24 launch of Find X5 pro with Dimensity 9000 is China exclusive, as i predicted earlier. Nothing great there. First, let Oppo announce the international availability of Find X5 pro with Dimensity 9000, then we can talk. I even made a comment in the other Dimensity 8100 thread. The next paragraph is what I mentioned in the other thread.
It is easy for Mediatek to get a batch of 100K or 500K chips manufactured for a short period of time with TSMC's latest/greatest node, make it available to few OEMs for just one market and then hail that as great achievement. It is another thing to get millions of them manufactured at scale at a reasonable cost and make it available worldwide. Let Mediatek produce flagship SoCs at scale at reasonable cost, then they will earn respect as top-end SoC maker.

So far we've had just tons of fluff and zero actual devices with it. Would be great if Dimensity 9000 is actually kicking Qualcomm's or even Apple's butt, but we'll just have to see that.

Also, the 8G1 is cheaper than 888 and D9000 costs 2x compared to D1200.
D9000 is cheaper 8g1, but not that much.
Do not have illusion to see price difference of €120-150 between both devices.
