I just got the Note 11s...so far so good. It feel premium, camera is superb...although speaker volume is low. That's the only downside for me.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022You'll be disappointed. Note 9 is a premium device. Be... more... replacing the battery of the Note 9 is a good idea instead of going to a phone like the Xiaomi 11S. However the Note 9 did not feel as premium from the beginning as I would have hoped for. I had a Samsung J5 2016 before which I really liked: great form factor, great display and features like headphone jack, real SD + dual sim and fm-radio. The Note 9 was 5x more expensive but felt only 30% more premium - some things better, some worse: the curved display felt for me like I would have to suffer again from a cathode-ray tube like distortion. S-Pen is nice but battery life not very strong. Good camera, IP68, heartbeat and pO2 sensor and good speakers however were great features. Based on my experience going from the J5 to the Note9 I am not sure if a flagship phone really makes such a difference (at least for me). Based on this experience a cheap phone like the 11s with many features might be tempting - especially considering the low risk of a wrong decision due to the low price... Curiously waiting for the Xiaomi 11s review...

What is the type of PROXIMITY sensor in this? Is it infrared sensor or virtual proximity sensor?

I'm very confused between this because samsung at least differentiates their smartphones by names, battery, chipset and even looks but you can't find which is 'S' & which is 'pro' ...they're looking same!

As Samsung does not want my money anymore abandoning a lot of features such as SD, 3,5 headphone jack, fm-radio... Therefore I am considering to move to the Xiaomi 11S. I would miss the stylus, IP68 and wireless charging from the Note 9 but will be very happy to have a flat display and fm-radio again...

Just skip 1 year if you want the upgrade to be substantial, especially in the SoC and camera.
