Oppo A76 announced with Snapdragon 680, 90Hz HD+ display and 5,000 mAh battery

18 February 2022
With 33W fast charging, similar to the A74. However, the A76 uses the more efficient 6nm 680 chipset instead of the 11nm Snapdragon 662.

They are so stingy man. Imagine not getting full HD resolution on phone in 2022.

    ishreal, 18 Feb 2022No it's fabricated on 6nm node. 660 was 14nm. Massive ... moreThey all have Cortex-A73 CPU cores, even if the SD 660 is 14nm, SD 662 11nm and SD 680 6nm.
Good for battery life but I'm not expecting any good CPU performance from that phone.
Also the same Adreno 610 GPU that is in the SD 662, maybe they overclocked it, IDK.

And this, of course, has MicroSD slot. Come on ! Make it to High end too!

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2022Feels like they released this phone several times already. ... moreCertainly vivo at least have what seems like a million slightly different models available to buy.

Android.Oreo, 18 Feb 2022Which itself is a rebrand of 660. So basically same 5 year ... moreNo it's fabricated on 6nm node. 660 was 14nm. Massive efficiency and performance difference. Benchmarks will prove this.

Quite disappointed with OPPO Malaysia to be honest. Bringing in the OPPO A36 (China), make some minor tweaks and selling it with the name of A76. Yes, it cost the same as the A74 but an HD+ LCD screen is unacceptable for RM899, even if it has 90hz refresh rate. Not to mention that the main camera and selfie camera are downgraded. Although the 48mp GM1 is not a very good sensor, it's definitely better than this 13mp unit. The same goes for the selfie camera. Mind you, I'm not saying that A76 has zero upgrades, but the upgrades are so minor when compared to the downgrades.

It's funny to see OPPO Malaysia messing with their entry to lower midrange A series twice in a row, with the first time being the A95 released not long ago.

IpsDisplay, 18 Feb 2022Ahh the Snapdragon 680 aka the Snapdragon 662/665 rebrandWhich itself is a rebrand of 660. So basically same 5 year old cpu. 680 is a downgrade from 675/678

Feels like they released this phone several times already. Maybe there is an equivalent Vivo and Realme or OnePlus Nord series like this.
