21 February 2022
It's one of a select few devices that have failed a durability test in recent years.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022Stupid test. nobody bends phones like that. Only they fal... moreIt's not stupid, just give you proof which one of $1000 phones are made cheap materials. If u paid $1000 or more of course u want it durable isn't it?

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022It's not a stupid test. And 99% of phones tested prove... moreIs worse than stupid

Question is will OnePlus 10 pro international version have the same issue as the Chinese version.

s22 did not break nor bend

All of this bending nonsense is easily avoided by not putting your phone in your back pocket. Literally sorted!! Plus having your phone sticking out of your back pocket makes you look like a twat anyway. It's up there with wearing Bluetooth driving headsets from 2001 and people who hang their fancy car keys from their jeans for no reason.
Oh and shoes with no socks. I mean what are you...14?

Honestly, this is just disappointing like in so many scenarios the phone could brake easily while paying $1000 for it. For example you sit by accident on a bed or your phone is in the pocket and you forget your phone is in there. The company isn't small so they should have done it better, people don't care for the fancy name ,,gorilla glass victus", especially if phone with such ,,strong" glass brakes so easily.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022Stupid test. nobody bends phones like that. Only they fal... moreI watched the video. For a $1000 phone, the Oneplus 10 Pro cracked without even much effort needed. Definitely a sign of weak structural design and/or poor quality material. Not very convincing to spend money on such fragile phone.

Only they fal... moreA $1000 phone should be well-made with high quality materials and not bend like biscuits. Clearly, the Oneplus 10 Pro got some cost cutting done and not as well made as previous models.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022Stupid test. nobody bends phones like that. Only they fal... moreIt's not a stupid test. And 99% of phones tested prove that. If they don't snap in half, they most likely won't during a simple fall or being sit on while in back pocket. There is also no rule that says you're not allowed to buy such phone regardless. It just lets you know of it's potential structural issues.

Xiaomi Mi5 snapped in half just the same. And I bought it well knowing that's its issue. It didn't snap in half during my 2-3 years of use. I gave it away to a relative and they've been using it for some 3 years now. Still in use and still not snapped in half.

It's certainly not a nice sight and frankly I think it's showing what companies are lazy and don't do proper structural design to ensure product being solid no matter what. Because so many other brands have proven it can be done. Especially impressive are folding phones which you'd expect to fail the most. Yet here is a solid bar shaped phone that did worse than those with bunch of thin metal hinges sandwiched in between a lot of glass.

Certainly very disappointing since OnePlus always did well. Just shows OnePlus is just a name now that means nothing anymore. I still like the looks of this model tho.

It certaintly didn't stop people from buying the iphone 6 and as the other poster said a case definitely helps.
