A bunch of salty people stuck below 20W-30W charging

Seems like they want to degrade the battery for what? so we need to buy a new phone?

chrislee88, 23 Feb 2022battery will be fast broken lolBattery degradation will be faster than let's say using an 18W charger.

battery will be fast broken lol

"Huh. I just played one song and it's already full? Man! this charger's slow! I heard Vivo's 1KW charger can charge a phone at just 1.5 minutes!"

I'm agree with this innovation, imagine to charge your phone only 1 minute, and it could be applied to charging electric cars or anything faster too. Nice job.

Next year we may be able to charge the cities of London, New York and Paris with a phone charger

I swapped my Huawei 66w charger for my old Huawei 40w charger to try and save my battery health. I don't think we need phones to charge that quick. Only in emergency. Go have a shower, place your phone on the charge come out and you'll be fine

Can't wait for my battery to heat up to 80 Celcius and explode.

                            Unnecessary

Samsung already is experimenting with graphene batteries but its too expensive especially with corona now so its even more expensive and less supply for it. So maybe by 2030-2035 we will get our 1st graphene powered phone.

Mr P, 22 Feb 2022I am waiting for them to ship phone with nuclear power plant. Man instead of nuclear power plant they should give antimatter inside instead of battery.
Or Irridium cells which are capable of regenerate lost energy on its own.
In case of Irridium powered batteries phone could last indifinetely ammount of time.

                                      Something like 200W/100A

Charger peak wattage is the new bait and switch pretty much like the megapixel count.
We are not charger limited , we are battery limited, what matters is not the peak charging rate but the curve e.g. how long it takes from X to Y% or how much % of battery after 30 minutes of charge .
"Fast charge "is nice to have when it follows the battery chemistry and the internal impedance Vs voltage but anything faster let's say that 45 minutes from 1 to 100% and 15 minutes to 50% will degrade the cells no matter how much spin the phone manufacturer will tell you.
