TCL 30 5G unveiled with Dimensity 700, 30 and 30+ join in with 50MP cameras

27 February 2022
The three phones are quite similar, the chipset is the major difference - the 30 and 30+ are powered by the Helio G37 instead.

its 2022, apps & even android itself has become bloated. 64gb should be sub 200 or make 128gb standard.

I briefly owned the TCL 20 Pro 5G. I thought is was beautiful and a great phone for the price. I only returned it because I couldn't get used to the curved screen.
If the version of the 30 that comes to the US has a flat screen and more than 4GB of RAM, I'd look at that one too.

Guys, remember this phone is for North American markets. There aren't many choices here.

The TCL 30 5G will be start at €250 for the 4/64 GB model (the 128 GB option will be €270)...

For €290 you can get the Samsung A52S 5G 6+128

Who is going to buy this absolute trash from TCL??

Yet another example of phones getting worse and worse. The TCL 20 5G was worse than the TCL 10 5G and the TCL 30 5G is worse than the 20 5G. Absolute clown world

The Dimensity 700 is from 2020. We are in 2022.

I don't know why TCL floods the market with so many budget offerings when even the most "premium" of them has a notch. Perhaps it's because it realises that it can't compete when it comes to flagships.

I had the Plex when it was first released. The display was gorgeous and I really loved the UI (though most people hated it, strangely). However, I found it to be too big, and the camera was absolutely terrible.

The only one that comes close to being worth buying is overpriced for what you get in return. All of these phones run on 5+ year old processor technology, with the exception of the most expensive one, that one is running 4 year old technology... Can you imagine going to buy a new laptop and the brand or salesperson tries to sell you something with an intel core i3-8100h or amd ryzen 2200u as the latest thing just released in 2022...

wouldve been nice to see maybe a 90Hz refresh rate and more that 4GB of RAM BUT, if the price is right id say these will be decent phones

                              50MP stickers?

Hmm tbh, the pricing seems quite reasonable. You get a big Amoled screen, a very good Dimensity chipset and basically stock Android for 250 euros.
But offering a 4/64 configuration in 2022 is a joke.
