28.2.22 is here and we still don't know anything about this tab. will it have 5g with phone calling capability? I am tired of TINY phones, alright with screens shaped like tv remote. finally a device with 16:10 ratio and normal sized screen, just give it 5g damn

I feel one should not buy this for gaming. Better go for edge 30 pro. You shouldn't be trading 2 inch screen for a 3 year old processor. 8 gen 1 GPU is the biggest leap ever in generation.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2022Yeah but not in thermals or vertical software integration. ... moreThe highest rendering resolution is 900p for GI. That too in iPads. On Android its 720p only no matter the screen size. Tab s7 further runs it on lower resolution due to gos. So while I agree that iPads (pro) are the best of best, if priced correct (309$ rumoured), this could be a good choice for low budget gamers. At that resolution, 870 can do 60(or even 90) fps at low settings.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2022Why are you comparing a15 to a two year old processor? The ... moreYeah but not in thermals or vertical software integration. I bet genshin still struggles on high on a 8 gen 1 with QHD resolutions compared to even an a13 or a14. Granted android is more flexible yadda yadda. But if you want a device exclusively for gaming and future proofing for the new gen games, the ipad is the way to go. Not a fan of how slowly they are opening/improving iPadOS but it is what it is.

I'm more interested about the LAPTOPS Lenovo will release alongside the tab and phone. I'm not sure what the photo GSMArena put up is showing, is it the successor to the Legion Slim 7 (the one which famously had the AMD 5900HX and 3060)? But why are they proudly touting the 3050Ti? It has just 4GB VRAM, that's really not enough for 2022 (Elden Ring and the new Cyberpunk update recommend 6-8GB VRAM, for one)...

Please, have phone capability ... Please !

"Why would you choose a small tablet over a large one? Doesn't make sense tbh. Plus you can just buy a USB C HUB with headphone jack and charging. Think logically."

Comments like these showing unwarranted and unjustified bias in the name of "thinking logically" make me wonder whether GSMArena's comment sections are worth reading at all. Clearly, since the last 3-4 years, the answer has been a solid "NO". A tablet is supposed to be an intermediate between a phone and a laptop. If the tablet is way too large (like the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra), it might as well be a proper laptop with upgradeable SODIMM RAM. A tablet with a 9–11-inch display makes perfect sense for media consumption on the go, and for reading e-books. There's no logic in this, just personal preference. But for a tablet to not have a headphone jack, when it is intended to be a media consumption device first and foremost, is unacceptable.

This looks like a decent tablet, honestly, software and security update uncertainty notwithstanding. I pray the price will be lower than €400, because we need a strong Android competitor to the iPad Mini 6. While I LOVE the iPad Mini 6 myself, it is far too expensive, combined with the fact that iPadOS and iOS are too restrictive for me (key words: "for me") without the app sideloading feature.

I do wish the Lenovo Legion tablet had at least a 7500 mAh battery though. 6650 mAh seems to be a little smaller than necessary.

Carrying a USB hub around can be cumbersome, so having the ports built-in to the device itself is way more flexible than having to use a hub in a limited space.

Also, the majority of people prefer the 870 over the current Snapdragon chipsets because it's way more thermal-efficient than the 888 or 888+ or even 8 Gen 1.

8.8" screen with Snapdragon 870 chipset? Definitely looking forward to that tablet. About time we see a solid iPad mini competitor.
