Oppo, 02 Mar 2022Manufacturers clam that after 3 years 80 percent of battery... moreI agree. I personally would be fine with 80% after 1+ year too - but the problem is that regardless of their claims only Apple provides a native way to check the current battery percentage. It's easy to make such claims if the average user has no way to check.

Anonymous , 02 Mar 2022Even if you play demanding games there is no need to charge... moreIt's not just about gaming, you can imagine I use the phone for other stuff, too. Some days I game on it for 6 hours sometimes with voice chat on Discord and switch between apps during that. Playing games like Arena of Valor or Dead by Daylight with top settings and high refresh rate is very demanding and I'd want to see a phone that handles this activity with one charge only. But most people can barely get 10 hours of SOT without gaming. I have the Note 20 Ultra with a 4500 mAh battery. It has a very slow charging (about 20W) but it still does charge fast enough for me (50% in about 30 minutes). I had the Note 8 with 3300 battery and Note 4 with 3220 mAh - never replaced the battery in any phone and I don't plan on doing it with this one. You keep your dart charging, I will stick with "slow" charge for better battery health unless samsung introduces safer 150W charging that won't cause the battery to decrease by 20% in just a year.

Nothing else OPPO offers more charging cycles, tell me another brand that offers 1000 cycles with fast charging before reaching 80%

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2022Good to know that normal users will get almost three years ... moreManufacturers clam that after 3 years 80 percent of battery capacity will remain is a best case scenario. It depends on environment (Humidity temperature ) and many other factors

Anonymous , 02 Mar 2022Even if you play demanding games there is no need to charge... moreActually, the charging isn't going to be their problem with battery degradation. It's this kind of usage that will ultimately kill their battery. That heat from "demanding games" is going to kill the cells fast quicker than fast charging solutions like this. Maybe he has some kind of active cooling unit attached? But then we are in the territory of why game on the phone at all ?

Only 1000 charges and 20% battery goes down. I deplete my phone's battery 3 times a day. So in 333 days I would be at 80% capacity - but considering this is a chinese brand (don't take it personally), their claim is probably a lie and it'll be much worse. So you have to service your phone for a new battery every single year. After three years and three battery replacements you will wonder if it was even worth it.
