Well, thank God for gcam ports... and I just bought a tiny cheap microscope for my phone to use as optical zoom XD I had to start somewhere.

The hm2 hasn't really been great on any phone. The hmx was much better at least during the day as it can produce great detail when optimised well. Xiaomi doesn't optimise some models on purpose to differentiate with more expensive models though. For example, the Xiaomi 11 pro with the same main camera sensor, same 8p lens and same processor is not given the same algorithm as the mi11 ultra on purpose. It will blow out lights in indoor photos for example whereas the mi11 ultra will automatically adjust the exposure based on lighting

These companies need to step up their processing game.
Just tried the mighty new mate pro, the camera is great, but it wasn't worth more thn twice my phone's price great...

AndroidAuthority, 03 Mar 2022Honor phones also had powerful hardware at a reasonable price. yeah, I'm still using my almost 4 years old Honor 10 with unlocked bootloader and Lineage in it
but with these specs, dimensions and price, good luck selling it, seems my next phone will be either Samsung S21 or Xiaomi 12X, was waiting for years for something worth upgrading, I need normal size, good camera, good battery, if punch hole then centered and reasonable price, I don't care about SoC and other gimmicks, until now pretty much no options

I remember Honor said phones are usually in the pipeline for like 2 years before they release. This one definitely seems like it's on the edge of that timeframe LOL. Personally IDGAF either way. I wouldn't buy one of these huge phones with or without Google.

Huawei/Honor phones were appealing because they had reasonable size when everyone switched to tablets, but with this size and not unlockable bootloader combined with crap outdated SoC at insane price, good luck selling this, this should cost

The daylight pictures are far inferior to the hmx on the Xiaomi 11 and Xiaomi 10s. Generally, though you'll get more detail on on good 64mp sensor with binned 16mp pics in good light but the hm2 can do reasonably well in low light with the right processing. The bottom line is anyone expecting flagship quality on these midrangers is likely to be slightly disappointed. There is a reason the hm2 hasn't been used on any high end flagship

Huawei have great photo processing. This is why the Huawei nova 9 with its 50MP cam has better camera shots then the honor 50 with a 108MP cam.

BUT, I made mine work. You can too squeeze some good pics from a cheap 108mp camera.

108 mpx aint mean sht. Proof with S20, S21, S22, lagging behind Mi Ultra, P50 and Pixel 6. They seriously need to optimise the software instead of putting useless things like 108 mpx.

Could just use 1 ultra wide 108mp camera and it would be more cool and useful use of space than those 2mp and 8mp ones. Even more it's missing jack.

Guys is the 108mp(HM2 I guess) camera found on midrangers better than the 64mp which is also in midrangers. I am not talking about the 108mp sensor in s22 ultra.
