This brick of a phone can see in the dark, won't break the bank or break at all.

Great phone. Saw video of waterlogged being repaired, same marketing garbage as rest of pack. Massive battery drains super quick installed 'Greenify' to slow.
Not impressed after owning older bv9600 that met with power saw accident, but still works and able to stream music all day long. Cooling system must be to keep from burning hands while charging. Less than impressed and understand why it's not marketed for hammers. Expected one great phone with no worries regarding battery charge... disappointed ☹️

Forgot IR is also great for Hidden messages on t-shirt, seeing if your light bulb produces one, how good are you with sunscreen,...

Also great to shoot animals at night or to see if your black tech is really black, or white...

I bought the 5g version bv6000 I think it was. Their quality control is nonexistent. The lens over the flash in the back was not sealed. Meaning phone was not water resistant. Put it in a bowl of water to show it off after I bought it and it instantly died... then found out it leaked after the fact when I removed the sim card and water poured out. So I blew into the sim slot. The rubber back ballooned out and air escaped easily out the flash lens cover. So im out $500 and they wouldn't replace it because of water damage. So much for buying a rugged water resistant phone.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2022Another day, another stupidly overgrown rugged phone. Why t... moreWhy not have both. If you work hard enough to need a rugged phone then 8500Mah should be enough... Unless you just sit in the portaloo play Cod... Anyone who blazes through a battery like that at work isn't working for me I can tell you that

I have had the BV5100 for a couple of years now, and to all you naysayers and trolls, you're just jealous.
My phone has been through a lot and still works/looks like new. (I work in a body shop, so it's been exposed to plaster, resin, harsh chemicals, dust, debris, etc) It's actually sleeker and lighter than any phone I've had in a case because of the integrated hard shell. Putting my Samsung, my iPhone or my Droid in a $100 case always made it harder to put in a pocket, plus the klunky way the screen protector on a Lifecase always felt. And I can take pictures and videos under water. And best of all, I paid a fraction what you did for your phone plus case plus screen protector.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2022whats the point of using notch with that wide bezel on top?... moreFirst thing is, they're doesn't seem to be enough space for the camera. When you consider the whole phone the bezel is large but with the protective cover there is less space left. So they might have gone with making the bezel even larger to account the camera.
Secondly sourcing panels without notch or cutout is difficult. Have you read about the "privacy friendly" phone with no camera which had the punch hole? So they might have thought of designing it using the available panel.

Looks like a good deal. If they can make a lite version of this with smaller screen and lesser ruggedness then it would be ideal.

And reg "BV8800 (truly terrible name, btw)", its better than all those confusing model numbers from BBK and definitely better than Oneplus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G.

Another day, another stupidly overgrown rugged phone. Why the F*CK do all rugged phones must have such enormous displays? If I go hiking or work at construction and I need a durable phone, I don't need a 6.58" display for media consumption, I need a compact phone that I call/text with, maybe some basic web browsing or some GPS. I'm certain they would sell more phones if they gave it 5" screen and made it significantly smaller
