AnonD-762416, 08 Mar 2022Come on, man! It's the only thing Sony fans has going ... moreHow confident of you saying no one. I recently sold both m Samsung and my Xiaomi phone for a brand new Mk3 Sony X5 and never looked back.

This level of development makes me so happy that I was able to get the awesome music powerhouse LG G8x right when it was just $350 or so. with its dual screen. And it grabs a lot of attention. People think its a $1000 Samsung phone, untill I tell them, no ma'am or sir, its not.

Anyhow, not going off topic, let me just say that its a good design, but for midranger phones we can surely have a 2 sided display for cheap, which is not moveable/modular.
Think about it. This display can help with notifications and all.

What in the absolute horror show is this??
Ok. I understand they're trying to be innovative but not like this.
Xiaomi did a wrap-around display and that was kinda ok, but a phone like this that only half the phone folds?
Just imagine holding that, I'd be tempted to toss it and see if it returns. Lol

Samsung should just focus on their main flagship phones. This just looks stupid

what would have been smart is that rather than getting an L shape they should have had an option for the bottom of the phone too to fold backwards and to form a horizontal screen (with a wider aspect ratio)

That's one weird looking device, but I'm eager to see the final result!

Prototype, 08 Mar 2022Why? Because someone needs to waste resources on weird phones, that almost no-one will buy now that LG are out of the phone game.

Samar, 08 Mar 2022Do manufacturers think UDC is useless?? Spending a bomb on ... moreZTE themselves still couldn't get the tech right despite being the first to bring UDC to the masses. It's far from mature for now.

YUKI93, 08 Mar 2022Still not as practical as the LG Wing itself, so no thanks.I can so agree with you. I do like the V60 and the Velvet 5G's DualScreen practicality, but I totally hate that tiny magnetic USB-C port adapter. I ended up getting the Wing and never looked back. Sure that the second screen is mot as big as the phone itself, but it's super useful for touch keypad and media control. Even in Screen+ Desktop Mode, it can work as a mousepad.

Kyocera Echo was the only folding touchphone device i ever liked and maybe Motorola razr. Apart that all are definitely ugly as much as possible.

so everyone was slagging off Huawei device with a screen folding on the outside, this is no different.
                                    🤔

This could be useful if you want to watch a film or play a game in 16:9 wide format without rotating the phone? (so the film is played in the top "wide" stripe of screen)

Only thing I can think of tbh.
