Anonymous, 16 Mar 2022why did they make the non-Pro as HUGE as the Pro, can'... morereally the only reason I can think of is economies of scale... BBK ordering insane amount of 6.67 inches screens to be distributed over four companies *if you notice, almost every new model from them will come out with this screen size including the rumored oneplus nord 3... 6.5 inches was the perfect size, and the only one with these dimensions with pro grade cameras and 5x periscope zoom *the only exception is xperia 5 m3 but that one has very shitty image processing and wierd aspect ratio

why did they make the non-Pro as HUGE as the Pro, can't they have left it alone??
It was already a decent size and could be used one-handed, and it was the only phone under 160x74mm to have 4 proper usable cameras (other than the P40 Pro/+ ofc)

YUKI93, 09 Mar 2022That is correct, but it can be tremendously useful on low l... moreLooking at how great their superwide and wide hi res mode is, shooting from afar is also an option, the same as using superwide to capture detail from wide angle, not quite the same, but close in x70pro+, on x80 should be better.
I actually find its superwide detail be the best one here with mi11u close 2nd. Processing and quality lens matter.
They could offer aperture sw switch, like the same fov but wide/superwide lens change, that would be ideal.

I need to learn more about camera specs.

If sensor is the same for both telephoto, it should be way better than before. A lot will depend on aperture too.

Nick Tegrataker, 09 Mar 2022"The Pro will get a Sony IMX789 instead (1.12 µm pixel... moreBut both OnePlus and Vivo are under the same company. Iirc, even Oppo use that same sensor. So I won't be surprised to see Vivo use it.

"The Pro will get a Sony IMX789 instead (1.12 µm pixels, 2.24 µm with binning), OIS and a more reasonable f/1.4 aperture"

I highly doubt it, IMX789 is a multi-aspect sensor exclusive to OnePlus and it's also a newer generation. GN1 for the Pro+'s main camera is disappointing though - Vivo would be using this thing for 4 generations if this news turned out to be accurate, and I think it's starting to show its age. I'm not having a huge hope for these super-wide aperture lenses, either.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2022F1.3 is gonna cause so much blur for close subjects. That is correct, but it can be tremendously useful on low light conditions as larger aperture brings in more light.

The normal Pro will have V1 custom ISP chip? This looks interesting. Previous X70 Pro with that custom ISP chip is only available for China-only Exynos variant. If the Pro model will be powered by Dimensity 9000 for real, that could be the smartphone to watch out for.

They could bring 48mp for 5x, wonder why it's so hard, I'm on 13mp at 5x 3yrs old now, just what will it be. All depends on tele camera.
Main is worthy, can easily imagine bright aperture, with hi res superwide you can take good enough shots if you opt for non bokeh lens. Natural bokeh is the best on full frame( considering down to Earth priced cameras), this could be great. Still that tele...

These are good news. We need more good flagships around as there are not many, everything coming out lately is just disappointing like the vivo x70 Pro plus which overpriced and not really available anywhere and the oppo find X same thing.

You have to get out of U.S. to really see what (MOST) people in the world use.

Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and SEA iphones almost can't be found in all these regions since a lot of people there use either Samsung or Chinese brands.

Iphones are only popular in North America and Western Europe where everyone you see there carry one.
