pt020, 12 Mar 2022Don not worry, it will be only €5,999.So, how many 6000€ NVIDIA Quadro cards have you bought so far? I don't see any of you whining over those. It's like complaining buying a Caterpillar digger is a waste of money when you can do it with a shovel for 1/100.000th of a price. It's a professional tool for making further money, not for toying around.

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2022So basically, it's just an overglorified iPhone chipset.well don't waste your time looking at the M1 Ultra then. clearly, you're not interested in being reasonable.

-Casey-, 11 Mar 2022Guys , I'm actually planning to buy the M1 Air next we... moreAnd your question is?
Or you just came here to tell us that?!

Guys , I'm actually planning to buy the M1 Air next week.
I know very well that there's no use waiting for M2 because the CPU performance will more or less be the same and I don't really care about the GPU but reports are that it will have 10 cores.
I'm happy with the current design , so don't care much about redesign.
And the price will definitely go from $999 to $1199/1299 for the new model , so I don't think I will be able to afford it anyways.
I'm getting a very good deal on the M1 model currently on Amazon and I'll take it after reading loads of rumours about the newer model coming.

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2022So basically, it's just an overglorified iPhone chipset.so basically, you'd also call servers with ARM architectures as overglorified iPhone servers? i guess the minds here at gsmarena really knows no bounds when it comes to bashing a specific brand lol

Before Intel, a platform called PowerPC by Motorola was widespread in the desktop realm and it was a RISC architecture just like ARM.

the others that do SoC for decades cannot make an android chip to be as powerful as this one without throwing 300W power consumption
                                  Sad for 2022

Like you said , redesign is irrelevant if you come with an old SoC

lol the m1 AGAIN analysis is stupid in the first place. no ones gonna buy a redesigned laptop, only to learn its the same chip from 2 years ago. might as well get that one now instead of waiting.
