I don't know what's so hard for those wearing mask to just key in your passcode, if you don't wanna pull down your mask?
what's the big deal with Apple now able to scan with mask on?

In every article posted you will get people that hate Apple products for whatever reason. If you look at any article on this site, you will notice all Apple related articles has much higher comments than any other article. Why can’t people just choose the brand they like and stop bashing other brands, especially Apple products. I’m a guy that used all types of phones, each brand has there own pros and cons. I’m currently using a IPhone 13, I came from a Huawei P40 pro. If you don’t like something then say so, but don’t try to “change” peoples minds with comments that add no value to the actually products like “IPhone is useless”, what does it say, nothing at all to any point. Just try to keep your points precise and create a “healthy” debate.

Dear god, Apple releases a cool feature for FaceID and one of the biggest security updates and all you can see is whining of ppl who don't even use iPhones. Just another day on GSMArena...

They should add a fingerprint scanner too. A facial recognition system that does not require scanning the whole face is less secure. Users should be given the option to use fingerprints.

Many tests suggest that even Google's face is more secure than you think, not Face ID level but a good compromise to not have that ugle notch

Too bad that Samsung discontinued their Iris Scanner. It would be a better option for this kind of situation (pandemic)

Unlike Apple who succeeded and stick with faceID and touchid.

ALT, 14 Mar 2022We don't have to wear masks anymore in the UK so no point.Yes no point for you, but for the rest of the world who still requires facemask, this is of big help. The world does not only revolve around UK. THUS, your supposed useless feature still helps a lot of people so deal with it.

Huawei has gone into obscurity, Honor still feels like a fake off brand Huawei and Google dropped Project Soli as fast as they drop everything they make. Apple is the only one that's using FaceID since its introduction on iPhone X and is still using it today. In the meanwhile everyone whined about the notch that facilitates FaceID and yet Apple still has FaceID. And most users actually want it, even if that means having a notch. Which I personally don't mind, because FaceID is such a good system. And I still hold same opinion despite 2 years of COVID nonsense.
