Jimbob, 28 May 2022Both still too big.. why dont they just make 5.7" &... moreEverybody wants a smaller phone, but no one's buying them. Pixel 5 and iPhone 12/13 Mini barely sold.

The S22 is about the smallest you'll find these days.

It seems google pixel now has very huge screen size which is no longer convenient. The front design is more like samsung phones now which is not a fun of bulky phones. Thanks

Ry, 18 Mar 2022Hopefully the standard 7 gets a screen the same quality as ... moreI agree i know they would have to charge a bit more but im all for it

I wish the 7 would be QHD display and 120hrz refresh 1080p is not it anymore for me. Just like the 4XL was but with 120hz not 90

Here's hoping that pixel 7 will have better display panel. Like 10bit colors, improve brightness nits while still keeping 1080p and hdr10+ like previous one.

Hopefully the standard 7 gets a screen the same quality as the pro or at the very least a hell of a lot closer than the 6 is to the 6 pro.. Not having any zoom and a crap screen on the 6 was such a disgrace.. these are premium phones? DOUBT.

avner, 16 Mar 2022will it have ColorOS or the much loved OxygenOS?...what?

Pixel 5's size was amazing.. Come with that and 2md version is bigger.
                      Always like small one.

AnonD-994853, 16 Mar 2022What I mean that, with every generation Google's phone... moreThe only Pixel with "screen issues" was the P2XL, and it wasn't really an issue. Off-axis color shifting (big deal, you look at your phone dead-on, not from the side) and some rare cases of burn-in where said users disabled auto screen off when not in use and left phone on, with the screen now on a static image like the home screen etc. for long extended periods (6+) over and over.

the "Battery issues" arent really issues. Its a combination of lack of optimization for the batteries in the software (things that Samsung and Apple do etc) combined with under-capacity batteries, to begin with. This creates the illusion of "issues" but all it is, is just under performance in screen-on time vs the competition.

Companies like Samsung, Huawei, Apple etc. Spend time optimizing thier software to Make the most of things like RAM management, battery optimizations and other optimizing features to enhance the users experience as much as possible. Google uses stock vanilla android with nothing tacked on to boost or optimize subset features of the experience outside what that version of Android was built to do. This is why Google phones feel like they under-perform or have "issues". Its mainly in the software, not actual hardware issues. An actual issue is different from something just under-performing.

Not small enough. I want something like the Pixel 5 in size. Also the Pixel 6 is absurdly thick. It's like a phone from a decade ago. And they need to lose the camera hump that makes the phone almost 1.5 cm thick at that point. That's like something from two decades ago.
