        god bless nokia....

So they are laying off people, why is it that bad? It's their company, their plans, they can do whatever the hell they want to do with it. It's not like other companies don't lay people off.

Sacrifice workers for the Company to make more profit. But right now i thin Nokia is planing to be like all others. Move everything in a cheaper place (China, Vietnam, Indonesia:-??) So, europe will loose a company. And this will go on, soon Asia will have a way stronger economy then all the globe. Expect that! In 20 years you samdung lovers will have to learn some Chinese if you want to eat something::). I hope will not have to work by then!

The worst i seen of 920 was a hands on vs the Xperia Z, the 920 is so enormous, even with the 5 inch display of the Z it was dwarfed by Lumia 920! Nokia is too low tech, using so simple materials and cant fit whats needed inside a modern compact strong body. They have a long way to go, i would not buy an android phone like the 920, no way, its so poorly made.

Nokia is still in the progress of shipping out Lumia 920 and Lumia 620 to other countries. They will do well once they got those out.

I don't know why everyone is hating on Nokia and MS. Ppl are bashing a company for cutting back its workforce to cope with global recession and low market share?? I think they are doing what needs to be done and I don't know why anyone would argue that.

Just like Blackberry, Nokia has a uphill battle to fight against apple, and samsung. Despite selling 4 million smart phones in q4, this was probably in the works for the past 3 months. (employee lay offs). I once worked at ebay. Were they laid off 700 employees. The plan to lay them off was in the works 1 year prior to them laying us off. So this is no surprise. I do believe Nokia will bounce back within the next 3 years.

oh dear nokia will be joining woolworths and HMV. the way there going.soon Android will be the only OS. Apple loosing share prices. and lack of sales for iphone 5. its all going down the kermit. Well except for Android which is going from strength to strenght.

75% of handsets worldwide run Android so what does that tell you.

This is really sad news for NOKIA and its employees. IT is the technical brain-stem of the company, some of whom were laid-off last year and form Jolla. What will take place hereafter? This is sad news for NOKIA fans like myself.

Nokia has its own fan base, and believe me, most of them don't like MS, and MS knows that, the moment they buy Nokia, Lumia will go down, and so will WP. Just my view.
