Only, a few people binge watch videos all the time. They will find a separate iPad model useful, thanks to low battery consumption. But Apple forced photo editors to buy one too.

A15 Bionic with 14" display would have been a lot better for iPad Air. Awesome experience for binge watching!
If someone really needs to do professional work, he won't hesitate to buy iPad Pro with better displays.

The i7 is basically the bait. Cheap computers have the cheapest possible components so the chance to fix it is high increasing the overall cost. The iPad on the other hand not only has M1 chip which is better than intel chips as it is efficient, silent and faster but also is a premium product, metallic, with high resolution screen, designed to last for years.

If you just use pc for browsing reading mails casual gaming and binge watch ipad makes more sense than a normal laptop or pc.. Power efficient portable flexibility and of course apple pencil. Even for creator it works like drawing and video editing.
But for programming, gaming etc hands down pc is best

At the moment, I'm looking for a detachable 2in1 like the Surface though. Despite its cons, it has unprecedented advantages. Relatively expensive though because of limited competitions.

I can't believe that the OEMs are not coming up with windows tabs that can compete with Surface from Microsoft. In India, there is little support of Surface so far although Microsoft seems to be changing as they have signed up with a whole bunch of 3rd party retailers this year. Oh well, Dell got 7320, but I wish they could make a 12" tab.
A detachable 2in1 is a game changer, IMHO. If you don't need to type a lot, you can detach the KB to make it a tab, and this is why it is so better than anything like Lenovo Yoga. Moreover, Windows OS is much more functional than any other OS in the world.

This is terrible marketing. None of these kids can afford an expensive ipad unless they come from money, and they wouldnt get one over a phone or a laptop or BOTH. And I am typing this from the new ipad air. Unless you need it for graphic design or maybe some specific music production, AVOID.
