Oneplus went downhill when they decide to follow other brands...
The unique and new features on the 7 series, like the pop-up camera (cant go back to a phone with notch or punch-hole when you try the full screen), UFS3.1, 30W charging (fastest at the time), made them the biggest innovator at the time.
Nowadays, they just follow the other brands, and they cant match them

      Oneplus recently started to lack with OS and QC. I've been using their phone for 5 years now, but after I bought 8t I see that this will be my last Oneplus for a while. Feel like they missed the train after Oneplus 6

As every month passes on, I’m more and more solid... moreIt's funny that you say that because I'm talking to someone else in a different thread saying basically the same thing, the 7 series was their last good one. I got a 7T in very early 2020 and it's a lovely phone, but I seriously doubt my next phone will be a OnePlus at this point

          OnePlus 7 Pro was the best phone ever, still better than majority in 2022. Love it!

When the highest end phone in the A series, the A73, can't even begin to compare to Xiaomi's budget phone, the K50 Pro? I'll admit in the flagship segment, I'd probably go with a Samsung over a Xiaomi phone now, but the A series is horrible.

                          I wish OnePlus focus on software stability more, but it's good to be true...

                              Yeap OnePlus is not an option for me anymore.
                              Bad bad cusotmer service on my last device (OnePlus 8 pro), can't imagine how it will be in the future. Took the downhill!!!

                                So the OS-updates are going downhill in future as well, alright. Let's see how it goes, but I'm guessing my next phone won't be one of their devices.

                                    It seems pretty obvious OnePlus won't be able to roll out bug free OS updates promptly, if they do now try and bring back OxygenOS on top of the ColorOS base.

                                    It will be interesting to see what Android 13 looks like when it arrives on the first OP device. Buying any OP device now looks a bit of a gamble, OS updates wise.
