The creator of the first iPhone with USB-C adds a Lightning port to an Android phone

01 April 2022
Replacing one reversible USB 2.0 port with another reversible USB 2.0 port doesn't sound too practical, but is an impressive feat nonetheless.

Anonymous, 01 Apr 2022What are bias comments here. When that guy put USB C on iPh... moreTalk about misunderstanding written words :))
The article was referring to the guy's engineering skills, as it's not an easy task and many engineers wouldn't be able to do achieve the goal. He wasn't praising the lightning port, otherwise he wouldn't try modding an iPhone to have a USB-C port. Duuuhh...
Read the article again: " This is perhaps NOT the most useful creation..."
What's the advantage of using lightning port on an Android phone? None.

What are bias comments here. When that guy put USB C on iPhone. You pathetic people bla bla bla why Apple cannot put USB C and some guy can. Bla bla.. and now when this guy put lightning on Android phone, you people said it's downgraded bla bla bla.. Read the last paragraph, the guy said:

"This is perhaps not the most useful creation, but Ken Pillonel says that he wanted to bring balance to the world after making the USB-C iPhone. And it is an impressive feat of engineering"

He admitted that lightning is impressive feature of engineering 🙄

              Why wasting time man?

Anonymous, 01 Apr 2022It doesn't matter because as said in the article, A71 ... morePerhaps there's no difference when it comes to data transfer speeds, but USB-C is much more universal (and therefore much cheaper and easier to find, as well as able to work with a wide variety of electronic devices) and is also able to allow for higher charging speeds (I haven't seen any Lightning Port devices be able to get charged for more than 40W).
In other words, there are so many other options for convenience and usability with USB-C than with Lightning Port, and it also helps reduce the phone's price due to the non-proprietary type of port and connection.

Please don't give them ideas. Xiaomi would be the first to implement it. Lol.

Well, if you have bunch of Lightning cables around, then it's an upgrade because you can use them.

To me, it somehow felt like a downgrade going from USB-C to Lightning.
