Samsung Galaxy S22 series get new update, April security patch

It's a hefty 1.5 GB download, however, the changelog is quite short.

All i know is on my s22+ the march patch messed up my bluetooth. First i thought it was my new buds. Tried them with old phone no issue. Stops and skips forward constantly. Quite a bug if you ask me. Four of my friends with s22 models are having the same issue after the march patch. Verizon here.

        Based on my observations, the battery life with screen on was improved by 10-20%

              these security patches are not necessary for your average malware
              they are patching vulnerabilities like being able to bypass the screenlook or brute force protection or many others that an antivirus has no power against it.
              forensic tools make a living out of messing with the security of the phones.

                      Still 7h looks just okish for a top of the line phone. iPhone 13 Pro Max beats this easily. The same like iPhone 13 beats the S22 easily in battery life.
                      And what is the point to buy a flagship phone with average battery life? I buy a flagship phone to use it all the time for everything. I think that’s the whole idea.
                      I had both the S20 and the S21 in the past and they were pretty average in battery life. Looks like Samsung didn’t improve anything with the S22. At least the vanilla variant. And from what I read, the S21 FE is even worse. So yeah..another useless year for Samsung phones.

                                    If you have Samsung A70 don't do March Update. It is draining battery and there is no way of removing the update.
