Nowadays, its just as likely that a non-Chinese company copying Chinese companies especially in mobile phone tech.

        I think it has more to do with the chip shortage. They can only build enough units for their home market. But it may just be a matter of time before the global market (except the US ) is flooded with these fantastic foldables.

                    If Vivo can price this under $1,000, then it could be a winner. It was only a matter time until the Chinese started copying Samsung and undercutting them in price. That's usually how it goes. Copy the innovator. The Chinese copycats sell them for much cheaper since no R&D was used for copying them.
